SMTA and CALCE @ University of Maryland hosted the Symposium on Counterfeit Parts and Materials June 26-28, 2018 in College Park, MD. Presentations addressed current and emerging counterfeit trends, standards, authentication and tracing technologies, government agency initiatives, detection methods, information security, and impact on industry and society. The symposium was a success with participation of part manufacturers, distributors, users, government and law enforcement agencies, legal professionals, authentication technology manufacturers, academic institutions, supply chain and brand protection professionals.
The symposium is organized by SMTA in conjunction with Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering (CALCE) at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA.
