Micro Dynamics & Win Wood Receive 2005 Tenke Awards

Honoring leaders in Minnesota technology industries

Additionally, Win Wood, vice president of strategic programs, was the winner in the emerging leadership award. The Tekne Awards recognize Minnesota's outstanding technology achievements and leaders.

"These awards show the company's and its leadership's commitment to delivering innovative technological processes and services to Minnesota and the global community."

MDC vice president of strategic programs Win Wood Micro Dynamics and Win Wood were recognized for the company's continued compound annual growth rate of over 20%. Tekne judges noted the company's ability to build over 2000 assemblies for customers in medical, industrial, telecom, computing and military/aerospace markets. Win Wood was recognized for his customer focused approach and putting people first management.

"My ability to win an award such as this is a true reflection of their skills and their fortitude to deliver leading edge technology on-time to our customers."
Presented by the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA) and Minnesota Technology, Inc. (MTI), in partnership with Medical Alley/MNBIO, the Tekne Awards annually recognize Minnesota's best and brightest technology users and developers in innovation, development, education, commercialization and management of technology in Minnesota. This year's awards featured 51 finalists in 17 categories (a list of all recipients and finalists is available online at

The keynote address at this year's Tekne Awards was given by Pat Toole, vice president, business transformation for IBM.

"Minnesota has long been a hotbed of innovation," said Kate Rubin, president of MHTA. "Thanks to technology innovators and leaders like this year's recipients, the environment for innovation is stronger than ever."
