The Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology (MMET) department in RIT's College of Engineering Technology (CET) is currently seeking applications from exceptional candidates for a full-time, tenure-track position, to support the Mechanical, and Robotics & Manufacturing and Electrical-Mechanical Engineering Technology Programs. Candidates for this position will be expected to teach, publish and also conduct externally funded research in areas related to Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and related areas such as: Machine Learning in Industrial applications, Artificial Intelligence in Industrial Applications, Automation, data analysis, data visualization, data exchange in the manufacturing environment, cyber-physical systems. Responsibilities will include teaching, research and service.

Minimum Requirements: • A PhD. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Robotics, Automation Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or an earned doctorate in a related field; or an earned Masters degree in one of these areas with a PhD. in Engineering Education or similar area

• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

• Demonstrated research in the areas listed above as evidenced by funded research and peer-reviewed journal publications

• Evidence of ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the college’s continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences
