Manufacturer’s representative and distributor in the circuit board assembly and repair industry, headquartered in Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking to fill a Business Development Manager/Outside Sales position for our Southern Ohio, Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky Territory. The company is family owned and operated, celebrating its 60th year in business, maintains a rich culture and growing rapidly. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Social and people skills are important aspects of the role

- Able to accept pressure, switch from one item to the next, ability to juggle work and manage interruptions

- Attention to detail in a structured environment

- Previous sales experience (minimum of two years) and professional sales training

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

- PCB and/or Electronics assembly industry experience helpful

- Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies

- Experience using Microsoft CRM, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

- Working with and through other people to obtain desired results

- Ability to comprehend and retain a large amount of product and process knowledge

Activities Include:

- Working closely with the Sales Process Engineering team (inside sales, business development coordinator, customer service team)

- Visit with customers and prospects within the territory to assure their success and grow our business within these organizations

- Identify new opportunities within the accounts during visits and further develop them with the team’s support

- Consistently grow sales within the territory, develop new relationships within all accounts and work closely with our vendors and principals to gain more business

- Product demonstrations and technical assistance

- Helping customers improve their manufacturing processes through suggestive selling and problem solving

- Meeting established KPI's which include sales and margin growth within the territory, customer visits, and the number of meaningful selling interactions
