Abstract: In most cases manufacturers of placement systems use two parameters to describe the placement specification of their .system: accuracy and repeatability, respectively in x-, y-and Ó- (rotation) direction. This is not enough to determine if one system is suitable for solving the actual and future tasks of an user. The following paper &scribes a method of measuring the accuracy of placement systems, based on this calculating the machine capability and this way determining an objective parameter to compare different systems and their usability.
