Abstract: In electronic industry, process-induced faults in IC manufacturing can be modeled by statistical yield models, which are based on compound distributions and have been proven to be useful in design, manufacture, and product evaluation etc. Beta distribution has played an important role in compound binomial model and is widely used in statistical modeling of bounded random variables. In this note, first under different conditions, by elementary method, we give the asymptotic behavior of beta distributed random variables. Using this, it will be seen that through relationships between distributions several famous asymptotic results can be obtained easily. This demonstrates beta distribution plays an important role in limiting theory.
