Abstract: In this paper, the electrical properties of the silicon, glass and organic interposer channels were compared and analyzed. To compare the electrical property of them, the insertion loss and eye-diagram at the data rate of 10 Gbps were simulated and analyzed using the unified and their original physical dimensions. Moreover, the varied electrical properties by the different channel type were analyzed based on the simulated eye-diagrams of each interposer channels. Finally, the characteristic impedances of each interposer channels are also simulated and compared. Based on the comparison result, the distinguished electrical performance of the glass and organic interposer channels compared to the silicon interposer channel were verified.
