This presentation provides a detailed analysis of the above described, newly created national and international certification and maintenance process. The process is used by manufacturers and distributors of electronic and mechanical components to demonstrate their regular use of anti-counterfeit process controls and requirements in their purchasing and supplying operations.
The presentation is based on the results of the IECQ Counterfeit Avoidance Process Certification by certification bodies and companies that have undergone the implementation of the Counterfeit Electronic Parts; Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation and Disposition Standard and achieved 3rd party IECQ CAP certification. Companies profiled in this presentation represent manufacturers and distributors from large, medium and small US and international organizations. The presentation also addresses both the common and the unique issues and respective solutions implemented by companies and the certification authorities. Part of the presentation addresses the development process used to create the standards, conformity assessment criteria, accreditation of the 3rd party certification provides as well as the training requirements for every level of the organization including “C” Level management.
