Abstract: Real progress is being made in materials systems for printable electronics using a range of nano size metals with novel processing or oxidation resistance characteristics including tin, silver, nickel and copper. Nanometer-thick ALD-coated metal powders in particular provide a unique oxidation-resistant coating that can allow air burnout of green tape without degradation, then allow metal densification at higher coatings. This paper reviews some of the latest results in this field.
