Abstract: While many electronics manufacturing services (EMS) business models emphasize a standardized approach to service delivery and manufacturing processes, many OEMs have specialized needs not easily addressed by rigid EMS processes. Electronic Systems, Inc.’s focus on business process alignment as part of its program management methodology provides individualized customer support translated into standardized processes for forecasting and production.

This paper will look at specific examples of how unique customer needs have been translated cost-effectively to standardized EMS production processes. It will also look at ways continuous improvement methodologies such as how our Quality Improvement Cost Reduction (QICR) process and Lean Enterprise Initiative are used to proactively address customer needs for continuous cost reduction.
